| Romeo & Juliet The play's title page as it appeared in the 1623 First Folio. Two quarto versions of the play. Left the first quarto, a pirated version printed in 1597 and right an authoritative quarto printed a decade later. The differing quarto's also show the evolution of Shakespeare's company. The left copy indicating the company name as Lord Hunsdon's Men during a year's time when the group's patron died and his son, the new Lord Hunsdon had yet to be named Lord Chamberlain. The right copy show's the group as the King's Men under the patronage of King James I.
